INCREASE OF STATE FEE FOR ISSUING WORK PERMITS FOR FOREIGNERS

Attention employers!

Dear employers, foreigners and stateless persons who wish to open a business entity in Ukraine or to work in Ukraine. We draw your attention to the fact that from October 15, 2022, changes have been made to the Law of Ukraine regarding the amount of the state fee payment for issuing a work permit for foreigners and stateless persons. From now on, the amount of the state fee for processing documents has increased significantly and now is:

Issuing a work permit for the first time:

Duration of employment permit	Subsistence minimums per able-bodied person	State fee amount
up to 6 months (inclusive)	3	7,443 UAH
from 6 to 12 months (inclusive)	5	12,405 UAH
from 1 to 2 years (inclusive)	8	19,848 UAH
from 2 to 3 years (inclusive)	10	24,810 UAH

Extension of the work permit:

Duration of employment permit	Subsistence minimums per able-bodied person	State fee amount
up to 6 months (inclusive)	2	4,962 UAH
from 6 to 12 months (inclusive)	4	9,924 UAH
from 1 to 2 years (inclusive)	7	17,367 UAH
from 2 to 3 years (inclusive)	9	22,329 UAH

The subsistence minimum per able-bodied person as of January 1, 2022 is - UAH 2,481

The following changes in the amount of the state fee payment will be made after the increase in the subsistence minimum per able-bodied person, namely after January 1, 2023.
