CHANGES IN THE PROCEDURE FOR ISSUING APOSTILLES BY THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE
According to the legislative acts, an apostille on a certificate of birth, marriage, divorce, death, change of name is carried out on documents, if they meet the following requirements:
1. They are documents of a new sample;
2. Not laminated and not damaged;
3. They do not have third-party inscriptions and seals, except of the seal of the DRATS department;
4. Issued by the DRATS body (not by village and settlement councils).
The certificate is considered a new sample certificate if it was issued after 2009. However, recently only certificates issued after November 2015 are accepted for affixing an apostille. Certificates issued before this date, even if they are issued on modern forms, need to be chanched on more recent samples. After requesting a duplicate certificate of a new sample, it can be submitted for an apostille.
