DELAYS IN ISSUING ID CARDS

russian war against Ukraine has made many adjustments to our everyday life, including the procedure of processing certain documents. In connection with the active hostilities, many citizens were forced to leave their homes, while cases of loss and physical destruction of passport documents became more frequent. That is why applications for issuing, replacing and changing of the internal passport have increased.

However, in all regions of Ukraine, there is a situation where citizens have been waiting to receive their passports since the beginning of May. This is due to the shortage of passport blanks for ID cards and problems in their supply. Accordingly, the State Migration Service recommends not paying additional funds for the urgent issuing of passports, while no deadline the situation with passport blanks will not change.

The issuance of passports for traveling abroad is carried out in the usual terms with possible delays of several days. There is currently no shortage of foreign passport blanks.
